MIDP 3 Suffers Major Setback?
According to this blog post Motorola are going to abandon the UIQ and MOTOMAGX platforms in favour of Android. I wonder what will happen with MIDP 3 as Motorola were leading the specification process?

Yeah, I was wondering the exact same question! I would assume MIDP3 will continue. That said, I think it is smart by Moto to consolidate and focus on just a few platforms...

I agree, Motorola were all over the place and needed to consolidate. I'm also really glad it's Android they chose as their main OS. After years of toiling in the Java ME trenches it's great to finally have a few devices on the market where the average consumer actually regularly downloads applications.
