Developer Programs

Russ and then Enrique have both written some good stuff about Motorola in general and developer forums in particular recently. For the last few months I have had the RSS feeds for both the Nokia and Sony Ericsson Java ME developer forums in my feed reader and they have provided me with a plethora of useful information. It has been hugely beneficial to us as a company because a lot of the projects we are working on could be considered cutting edge and the official documentation is sketchy at best so the only real way to find out about a particular device feature is by turning to the developer community. Part of the reason I have a huge soft spot for both Nokia and Sony Ericsson is because of their developer programs. No amount of marketing can buy that type of loyalty to a brand.
