iPhone: It's Finally Here

It's big, it's beautiful, it's revolutionary, it's BIG. The operating system is OS X, does this mean the underlying microkernel is FreeBSD? No idea yet on how to create widgets for it... or even if it's possible for 3rd parties to do so.

iPhone Website.

Full details and images on the Engadget website.

Update: Bleh! All indications point to the iPhone being a closed device for 3rd party applications. You will still have unrestricted internet access which sort of makes up for it but still... it's frustrating. Anyway, it's early days so who knows what will happen in the next 6 months. I, personally, still can't wait for the Nokia N95. That's more my idea of a perfect phone.

Update: It's a big beast! Way too big for my liking!
